About Us
Welcome to Home-Start Bracknell Forest!
Formed in 1993, we are a local charity, dedicated to supporting families, with at least one child under 5, who may be facing challenges or difficulties. Our team of trained and supervised volunteers work with families in the Bracknell Forest area to provide practical and emotional support, helping to build strong and resilient families.
With over 30 years of experience, we are embedded in our community and understand the importance of early intervention and the impact it can have on the well-being of both parents and children. Our volunteer support is tailored to meet the individual needs of each family, whether that be assistance with parenting skills, household management, or simply a listening ear during tough times. In addition to our tailored home-visiting support, we offer specialist groups and projects including the Baby & Mum group, More than Words Communication group, Play and Learn and Antenatal course. Please see Projects | Home-Start Bracknell Forest for further information.
We believe that every family deserves the support they need to thrive. By working together, we can help families build a brighter future for themselves and their children.
If you are a family in need of support or are interested in becoming a volunteer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of families in our community.
Home-Start Bracknell Forest operates as a member of the Home-Start UK network, providing vital support to families in need. While we receive guidance, support, and a national frame of standards, from Home-Start UK, we are an independent charity responsible for our own management and fundraising efforts. Our commitment to upholding national standards ensures that we deliver exceptional service to the families we serve.
Our Board of Trustees oversees the governance and strategic direction of the charity, while our dedicated team of paid staff ensures the smooth operation of our services. Our team of trained volunteers plays a crucial role in providing home-visiting support and assistance at our Family groups.
