More than Words –
communication and language group

If you’re a parent or carer of a child aged 2 – 4 years old and would like support with your child’s communication and language development in a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment, this group could be exactly for you!

Our ‘More than Words’ group is a free weekly term-time group for 2 – 4 year olds. The group provides a structured play time, providing plenty of opportunities for language and communication to occur. We model how to develop good communication skills in the play setting as well as providing transferrable activities for the children’s homes.
The weekly sessions are made up of a child-focused activity, snack time, communication focus time and singing. Some weeks we will also be joined by an external expert speaker.

Families will have an opportunity to meet and chat with other families, to make new friendships and share new ideas. Meeting other new parents can really help ease any worries or concerns.
