Here is what Bracknell’s Town Mayor, Councillor Sanjeev Prasad said: –
“I am so thrilled to announce Home-Start Bracknell Forest as my Mayoral Charity for the year.
Home-Start is such a wonderful Charity and I will be working hard to raise money for them and also awareness of the valuable work they do.
As well as focusing on one to one volunteer home visiting support to vulnerable families with children under 5 years old, the service has positively responded to the Covid crisis by adapting their services to ensure that Bracknell families received support through this difficult time. Virtual one to ones were held, phone calls and outdoor meet ups were arranged and a series of parenting programmes were developed including online support groups. Home-Start supports so many families that need it.”
